Pay: $20-$23 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday
Early Childhood Education Teacher
The Learning Experience - Upper West Side is seeking a passionate Early Childhood Education Teacher to create engaging learning experiences that support children's cognitive, social-emotional, language, and physical development.
This role focuses on implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum, fostering a positive classroom environment, and helping children build the foundational skills needed for future academic success.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and implement engaging, age-appropriate learning activities
- Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and language development
- Maintain a safe, nurturing, and organized classroom environment
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members
- Observe and document children's developmental progress
- Encourage curiosity, creativity, and independence through hands-on learning
- Communicate regularly with families regarding classroom activities and child development
- Follow New York State and NYC childcare licensing requirements
Qualifications
- BA or AA in Early Childhood Education preferred; CDA accepted
- Prior experience working in an early childhood classroom preferred
- Strong understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practices
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Passion for creating positive learning experiences for young children
- Must meet New York State childcare licensing requirements
