Primary Job Duties, include but are not limited to:
- Execute physician orders thoroughly and safely
- Administers and documents all types of medications according to pharmacy and drug administration policies and procedures
- Performs a variety of treatments that may not be done by a CNA
- Glucoscan test
- Internal feedings and irrigations
- Insertions, installation and irrigation of urinary catheters
- Administers special skin care procedures
- Perform sterile dressing changes
- Operate special equipment for procedures
- Report personal illness or skin lesions and defective equipment or other potentially hazardous items
- Contributes information for revision in the resident plan of care
- Supplies ongoing summary documentations as required for MDS/PPS purposes
Job Qualifications:
- Graduate from a State accredited school with a valid Licensed Professional Nurse (LPN) in the State of Indiana
- Must have completed an approved medication course
- CPR & First Aid Certified
- Minimum of 3 years in a long-term care facility, preferred
