Supplier Quality Manager Needed for Leading Industrial Manufacturing Firm

The Manager of Supplier Quality is responsible for leading regional supplier quality initiatives, ensuring the availability of qualified, high-performing suppliers across the organization. This role drives supplier qualification, performance management, and continuous improvement through structured audits, KPI monitoring, and corrective and preventive actions.
This position plays a critical role in aligning supplier quality strategy with broader operational, project delivery, and sustainability objectives, while supporting cost optimization and long-term supplier performance.

Lead and develop regional supplier quality teams, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and quality standards

Own supplier qualification and approval processes, including audits, certification compliance, and onboarding

Drive preventive quality practices, including supplier development initiatives such as PFMEA and risk mitigation strategies

Establish and manage supplier performance metrics; lead corrective actions and enforce supplier status decisions (approval, restriction, removal)

Plan and coordinate inspections and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) activities at supplier facilities; communicate results to key stakeholders

Partner with sourcing and operations teams to integrate quality requirements into procurement strategies and project schedules

Represent quality in supplier meetings and project kick-offs, ensuring alignment and accountability

Conduct process audits and data-driven evaluations to verify supplier capability and performance

Capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement across supplier quality processes and management systems

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field

Minimum of 7+ years of experience in supplier or supply chain quality within industrial or manufacturing environments

Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional or international teams

Strong knowledge of quality systems, including ISO standards, supplier audits, and lean methodologies

Proven ability to drive supplier performance, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives

Excellent communication skills with the ability to operate in global, cross-cultural environments

Fluent in English; additional languages preferred

Willingness to travel internationally
