Job Overview
The Family Coach works to connect the family to community resources and provide connection to promote long term
stability. The Family Coach acts as a liaison, connecting members to the knowledge, skills and resources they identify as
needing. The Family Coach works with families to ascertain family’ dreams for growth and change, partnering with them
in achieve their self -sufficiency goals.
Responsibilities:
Plan, coordinate and facilitate monthly Membership Meetings.
Work with families to assess their situation and assist them in establishing self-sufficiency goals to work toward
long term stability.
In partnership with families, develop Goal Based Action plans
Complete a self-sufficiency assessment every three months.
Meet with families regularly via phone, Zoom, in-person..
Advocate for families with partners.
Identify training and program needs to maximize members’ personal growth.
Maintain documentation and member files, to include the entering and maintenance of the electronic database.
Track client participation in the Renter Equity Program, ensuring member participation in earning equity.
Support and work Cornerstone Renter Equity community events.
Facilitating workshops on various topics related to life skills, civic engagement, etc.
Foster an environment of empathy, trust, community, and professionalism at all times.
Attend training and continuous learning opportunities to improve coaching skillset
Complying with organization processes and procedures.
Qualifications: Qualities, Skills and Competencies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal, leadership and problem-solving skills
- Superior organizational and planning skills, including the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and complete a variedset of tasks in a timely manner
- Commitment to working on a team to achieve common goals, requiring flexibility and adaptability
- Proficiency with Word, Excel, and other computer programs related to duties
- Demonstrated ownership of job, initiating independent actions to drive positive results
- Ability to capture and input data
- Balances structure and attention to detail with an empathetic approach
- Willingness to learn and adapt new skills as the job requires
- Bachelor ‘s Degree in the field of Human Services preferred and/or experience in case management and direct
Pay: From $40,000.00 per year
