We are seeking a skilled and dependable Assistant Maintenance Director to support the daily maintenance operations of our multifamily community. In this hands-on leadership role, you'll work alongside the Maintenance Director to ensure our property remains safe, well-maintained, and welcoming for our residents. Responsibilities
As the Assistant Maintenance Director, you will play a vital role in maintaining the overall appearance, safety, and functionality of the community by:
- Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing HVAC, electrical, plumbing, flooring, carpentry, drywall, and pool systems.
- Responding to and completing resident work orders within 24–48 hours, ensuring timely and high-quality service.
- Assisting the Maintenance Director with routine property inspections to ensure compliance with company standards and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
- Delivering exceptional customer service by responding promptly and professionally to resident maintenance requests.
- Maintaining compliance with all Federal, State, and local laws, including Fair Housing regulations.
- Assisting with additional maintenance projects and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- We're looking for someone who brings both technical expertise and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
Required Qualifications:
- HVAC, EPA, and CPO certifications.
- Minimum of three (3) years of general maintenance experience.
- At least one (1) year of apartment maintenance experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, drywall/painting, carpentry, ceramic/tile, appliance installation/removal, and general repairs.
- Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Physical Requirements
- Regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds.
- Stand, walk, bend, stoop, squat, kneel, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
- Safely climb ladders and stairs as part of daily maintenance responsibilities.
Working Conditions
This is a hands-on position that combines field work with occasional administrative responsibilities. Team members should expect to spend a significant portion of their day working outdoors and be comfortable working in various weather conditions.

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
