Duties
- Safely operate company vehicles to deliver goods along designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Manage delivery schedules efficiently, ensuring timely arrivals at each destination
- Assist with loading and unloading products, including heavy lifting when necessary, while maintaining proper safety procedures
- Communicate clearly with customers to confirm deliveries, answer questions, and provide exceptional service
- Upsell additional products or services when appropriate, enhancing customer satisfaction and sales opportunities
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, route logs, and mileage for organizational purposes
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure optimal performance and report any maintenance needs promptly
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or equivalent required; clean driving record preferred
- Strong knowledge of route driving, navigation skills, and familiarity with local roads
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
- Basic math skills for handling pricing calculations and transaction processing
- Experience in sales or upselling techniques is a plus but not mandatory
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during deliveries
- Organizational skills to manage delivery schedules and paperwork effectively
- Military experience involving driving or logistics is advantageous but not required
