Seeking hardworking help for our Melbourne Beach location!
Accepting part and full time applications, as long as part time help is available for a minimum of 20 hours per week! MUST BE AVAILABLE AT LEAST ONE WEEKEND DAY.
The role requires in depth knowledge of the surf industry and products, as you will be responsible for assisting customers in the boardroom and helping them select the appropriate accessories.
Our ideal candidate will be sales-driven, outgoing enough to greet & help customers, and self sufficient enough to stay busy during slow hours.
Skills/Duties
- - Drive sales through genuine, enthusiastic customer engagement and product knowledge
- - Fit customers to the right surfboard, wetsuit, and gear based on their ability, local breaks, and conditions
- - Talk credibly with experienced surfers—shapes, volume, fins, construction
- - Keep the floor stocked, faced, and clean; handle receiving, tagging, and inventory
- - Ring up sales and handle POS/cash accurately
- - Stay productive during slow periods (restocking, merchandising, cleaning, ding checks)
- - Support opening/closing duties and general shop upkeep
- - Attention to detail is key in this role
- - Must be able to work standing on feet/moving/lifting during scheduled shifts
- -Ability to stay motivated/efficient in a laid back, yet fast paced work environment
- -Excellent teamwork skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with other coworkers and managers.
- -Basic problem-solving skills for troubleshooting technical issues or workflow challenges.
