How You’ll Make an Impact
As a Process Technician you'll be at the forefront of our innovation, driving specialty chemical solutions forward. You'll collaborate with a diverse group of passionate individuals to deliver sustainable solutions to advance mobility, improve wellbeing, and enhance modern life.
The Process Technician is primarily responsible for setting up and maintaining automated molding equipment and machine systems and providing technical support to commercial press molding.
- Disassemble, clean and reassemble material handling equipment in a thorough and timely manner.
- Maintain disposable equipment inventory levels using the Kanban system
- Prepare and label solvent hazardous waste for disposal.
- Follow procedures for safe handling of flammable solvents.
- Assemble material handling equipment.
- Accurately record data on routers, QAD and other ERP systems used.
- Set-up, troubleshoot, and maintain molding equipment, presses, material delivery, part handling, and cold runner systems, and manual and automatic cutting and punching fixtures and associated peripherals.
- Ability to wire heaters in parallel or series.
- Replace intricate mold components.
- Inspect, review and score mold conditions.
- Execute established molding DOEs.
- Balance a multi-drop cold runner utilizing sequential valve gates.
- Understand and follow SOPs pertaining to your area.
- Maintain Safety, Quality, Productivity, scrap, rework, utilization, and efficiency
- Observe and promote Company standards and policies on safety, quality and productivity.
- Utilize Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in medical device and clean room environment.
- Support and observe 5S and other lean manufacturing methodologies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications that Enable Your Success
- High School, GED, or equivalent certificate
- 3+ years of experience as an operator or technician working on injection molding equipment for plastics, silicone, or rubber
- Proficient in basic hand tools i.e. adjustable wrench, Allen keys, screwdrivers, ratchet and sockets
- Basic understanding of Preventative Maintenance Programs and 5S principles
- Excellent (written and verbal) communication and effective human interaction skills.
- Flexible to change and possess a high degree level of integrity and “can do attitude”.
- Willing to work in a team environment and contribute to group goals
- Able to convert units of measurement, add, subtract multiplication and division.
- Ability to receive and provide instructions in a positive manner.
Preferred Qualifications that Drive you Forward
- Additional Technical training – Vocational or Associate’s Degree level
- Experience performing mechanical, electrical, electronics, hydraulics or pneumatic systems repair
- Medical Device manufacturing and clean room environment experience

- Bending, stoop, kneel, crouch/crawl, reach above shoulders and repetitive bending or squatting with constant exposure to dynamic standing/walking and using hands to finer/handle or touch.
- Climbing a ladder.
- Exposed to working near moving mechanical parts with frequent risk of electrical shock.
- Occasionally be subject to, working in high precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, and outdoor weather conditions, but rarely (if ever) be exposed to extreme cold or heat (non-weather) or wet/humid non weather conditions, travel on company business.
