Junior CAD Designer – Bulk Material Handling Systems
Shift: First shift, Monday–Thursday, 10 hrs/day
Experience: 0–2 years — recent grads and early-career designers encouraged to apply
About the Role
This is a great entry point for a designer early in their career. You'll learn to use AutoCAD Inventor to produce 3D CAD models, customer-approval drawings, and sheet metal layouts for engineered bulk material handling systems. Each system is custom-built to a customer's specifications for functionality, productivity, and cost. You'll start with guided projects alongside experienced designers and take on more ownership as your skills grow.
What You'll Do
- Create fabrication layouts and 3D CAD drawings (elevation and section views) of conveyor systems, steel structures, platforms, and framework for customer approval and manufacturing
- Help build and maintain our 3D library of standard fabricated parts
- Support flat pattern layout and nesting for waterjet and laser programs
- Support shaft turning and drilling layouts for CNC lathe and mill programs
- Learn to review and check drawings for accuracy before they reach the customer
- Occasionally travel to project sites to measure structures, troubleshoot, and work alongside our team and customers
What You Bring
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD Inventor or similar 3D CAD software (through coursework, training, an internship, or early work experience)
- A degree, certificate, or coursework in drafting, mechanical design, engineering technology, or a related field—or equivalent hands-on experience
- Mechanical aptitude and genuine curiosity about how things are built
- A problem-solver's mindset—persistence, attention to detail, and willingness to ask questions
- Solid organizational and communication skills
- Eagerness to learn and grow in a hands-on manufacturing environment
Nice to have (but we'll teach you): iLogic, sheet metal design, CNC/waterjet/laser programming basics, or familiarity with grain, food, chemical, or aggregate processing industries.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
