Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Associate General Counsel specializing in Real Estate to join our legal team. Duties
- Lead and manage all legal aspects of real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and development projects.
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex contracts related to property agreements, joint ventures, and land use arrangements.
- Provide strategic counsel on estate planning matters affecting corporate assets and individual stakeholders.
- Advise on environmental law compliance, land use regulations, tribal law & regulations, and other statutory requirements impacting property operations.
- Conduct legal research using LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Prepare for trial proceedings by coordinating court depositions and trial preparation activities related to property disputes or personal injury cases involving real estate assets.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure adherence to procedural law standards while managing litigation cases involving general & commercial litigation, employment law cases, or personal injury claims.
- Support negotiations with tenants, vendors, government agencies, and other stakeholders to achieve favorable outcomes aligned with organizational goals.
- Maintain comprehensive legal case management records and ensure timely legal motion preparation.
- Stay current on evolving laws including securities law, workers’ compensation law, immigration law as it pertains to employment practices within real estate operations.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with active bar admission.
- Extensive experience in real estate law including estate planning, environmental law, land use & zoning regulations, landlord-tenant law, and contract drafting.
- Proven track record in negotiation, trial preparation, legal advocacy, and handling court depositions.
- Strong knowledge of procedural law standards along with familiarity with LexisNexis and Westlaw research tools.
- Experience in general & commercial litigation as well as employment law cases related to real estate operations.
- Excellent research skills combined with the ability to interpret statutes and regulations effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly to non-lawyer stakeholders.
- Prior law office experience emphasizing legal writing, legal research, case management, and motion preparation is highly desirable.
- Well-rounded understanding of statutory legal research methods coupled with practical experience in client communication and legal administrative tasks.

Pay: $205,000.00 - $225,000.00 per year
