Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior IAM Consultant to join our Identity Security team. This role is ideal for an experienced Identity & Access Management (IAM) professional with deep expertise in Microsoft Active Directory and enterprise identity security.
You will play a critical role in designing, implementing, securing, and modernizing Active Directory environments while extending identity services into AWS and cloud environments. This position requires a hands-on engineer who can lead complex IAM initiatives, troubleshoot enterprise-level issues, and collaborate with cross-functional security teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise Active Directory forests, domains, trusts, Organizational Units (OUs), Group Policies, and Domain Controllers.
- Engineer secure and scalable Active Directory environments aligned with security best practices.
- Collaborate with IAM and Privileged Access Management (PAM) teams to implement delegated administration models and privileged access controls.
- Monitor and troubleshoot Active Directory health, including:
- Authentication issues
- Replication failures
- DNS dependencies
- Domain Controller availability
- Account lifecycle issues
- Support integrations between Active Directory and Identity Governance, Authentication, Access Request, and Certification platforms.
- Develop operational documentation, standards, runbooks, and best practices.
- Participate in change management, security audits, incident response, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Design authentication patterns between Active Directory and AWS using LDAP and Kerberos.
- Partner with application teams to implement secure Kerberos-based authentication solutions.
- Contribute to enterprise IAM modernization initiatives and cloud identity strategies.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in Identity & Access Management (IAM).
- 5+ years of hands-on experience administering Microsoft Active Directory.
- 5+ years of experience managing Group Policy.
- Strong expertise in:
- Active Directory Administration
- Active Directory Security
- Group Policy
- LDAP
- Kerberos Authentication
- DNS
- Active Directory Replication
- Experience managing large-scale enterprise Active Directory environments.
- Experience integrating Active Directory with IAM and Identity Governance platforms.
- Strong understanding of privileged access management and delegated administration models.
- Experience supporting global, multi-domain, or multi-region Active Directory environments.
- Hands-on experience with AWS Active Directory solutions such as:
- AWS Managed Microsoft AD
- Self-hosted Active Directory on AWS
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Identity Governance Administration (IGA) platforms.
- Experience with Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions.
- Knowledge of Zero Trust security principles.
- Experience working in enterprise cloud environments.
- Strong scripting or automation experience using PowerShell is a plus.
- Security certifications or Microsoft Identity certifications are preferred.
