Duties
- Perform thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations and review of medical history, to develop tailored acupuncture treatment plans
- Administer acupuncture treatments using sterile, aseptic techniques to ensure safety and efficacy
- Utilize advanced techniques such as trigger point therapy and pain management strategies to target specific discomforts and improve mobility
- Educate patients on physiology, anatomy, and the benefits of acupuncture for various conditions
- Monitor patient progress throughout treatment sessions and adjust protocols accordingly for optimal results
- Maintain accurate documentation of treatments, patient responses, and progress notes in compliance with healthcare regulations
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care plans focused on pain relief and overall health improvement
Qualifications
- Valid state licensure as a Licensed Acupuncturist with current certification in acupuncture practice
- Demonstrated expertise in acute pain management, trigger point therapy, and pain relief techniques
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to acupuncture practice
- Experience performing patient assessments, physical examinations, and applying aseptic techniques in clinical settings
- Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to care delivery
- Ability to communicate complex health concepts clearly and effectively to diverse patient populations
- Prior experience in patient care environments emphasizing holistic health or integrative medicine is preferred
