Duties
- Monitor premises through CCTV surveillance systems to detect suspicious activity or security breaches
- Conduct regular patrols of designated areas to ensure safety and security protocols are maintained
- Verify identification and authorize access for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors in accordance with established procedures
- Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies by assessing situations, and coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services when required
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations to ensure accurate record-keeping
- Assist in conflict management by calmly de-escalating tense situations while upholding professional conduct at all times
Skills
- Strong observational skills with attention to detail during surveillance and patrol
- Familiarity with law enforcement protocols and conflict management techniques
- Experience operating CCTV systems and other security technology such as access control systems
- Ability to remain calm under pressure while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Background in security, military service, or law enforcement is advantageous but not required
- Excellent communication skills for clear reporting and effective interaction with team members and the public
