<Job Summary>
We are seeking an energetic and friendly Cashier/Sales Associate to join our team! In this role, you will be the first point of contact for customers, providing outstanding service while handling sales transactions efficiently. Your enthusiasm and product knowledge will help create a positive shopping experience and promote our pet products and services.
<Duties>
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases and inquiries
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately for cash handling and transactions
- Demonstrate products and provide product demos to enhance customer understanding
- Upsell related items and promote special offers to maximize sales opportunities
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring product availability
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions with clear communication and phone etiquette
- Support inventory management through stocking and merchandising efforts
<Skills>
- Experience with POS systems and cash handling procedures
- Supervising experience or leadership skills in a retail environment preferred
- Ability to perform retail math accurately for transactions and inventory counts
- Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities, to serve diverse customers effectively
- Knowledge of grocery store operations, including stocking, merchandising, and customer service
- Ability to conduct product demos and upsell products confidently
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to build lasting relationships
