Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Assembler to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling mechanical components and systems with precision and efficiency, ensuring that all products meet quality standards and technical specifications. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency with measuring instruments, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics. Responsibilities
- Assemble mechanical components and systems using hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and specialized industrial equipment.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and production documents to ensure accurate assembly.
- Measure parts with precision using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments; verify dimensions against specifications.
- Conduct fabrication tasks such as welding, soldering, and machining as required for assembly processes.
- Follow safety protocols by properly using personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering to shop safety standards.
- Utilize shop math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality checks during assembly.
- Handle manual tasks including lifting, positioning parts, and operating forklifts or warehouse equipment when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to support efficient production flow.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot assembly issues and improve processes.
- Document assembly procedures accurately and interpret manufacturing instructions.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in mechanical assembly within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Proficiency with measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools.
- Strong understanding of blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings related to mechanical fabrication.
- Knowledge of shop math principles necessary for accurate measurements and calculations.
- Familiarity with welding, soldering, machining, and fabrication techniques is preferred.
- Ability to operate power tools, pneumatic tools, hand tools, and specialized industrial equipment safely.
- Experience with warehouse operations or forklift operation is advantageous.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with the ability to interpret technical documentation accurately.
- Commitment to safety practices including proper PPE use and manual handling procedures.
