Job Summary
SECA America is seeking an experienced and responsible HVAC Site Supervisor to oversee HVAC and duct installation activities at commercial and industrial project sites.
The HVAC Site Supervisor will be responsible for supervising field crews, coordinating daily installation activities, reviewing construction drawings, monitoring project schedules, and ensuring that all work is completed safely, accurately, and in accordance with project specifications.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in HVAC or duct installation and the ability to communicate effectively with employees, subcontractors, project managers, general contractors, and clients.
This position requires regular travel and may include temporary or extended assignments at project locations outside the local area.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily HVAC and duct installation activities at assigned project sites
- Coordinate and manage field employees, subcontractors, and installation crews
- Assign daily work activities and monitor productivity, attendance, and work quality
- Review construction drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and installation requirements
- Verify that HVAC systems, ductwork, and related components are installed according to approved drawings and project standards
- Monitor project schedules and coordinate manpower, materials, tools, and equipment
- Report project progress, delays, material shortages, safety concerns, and field issues to the Project Manager
- Coordinate installation activities with general contractors, subcontractors, and other construction trades
- Conduct regular site inspections and identify quality, safety, or installation concerns
- Ensure compliance with company safety procedures, OSHA requirements, and site-specific safety policies
- Prepare and maintain daily reports, manpower records, progress updates, and installation documentation
- Verify material deliveries and report missing, damaged, or incorrect materials
- Assist with field measurements, installation layouts, and resolution of drawing or field conflicts
- Support inspections, system testing, punch-list completion, and project closeout activities
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional job site
- Perform other project-related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of three years of experience in HVAC, ductwork, mechanical construction, or a related field
- Previous experience supervising construction or installation crews preferred
- Knowledge of commercial or industrial HVAC and duct installation practices
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings, specifications, and shop drawings
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment
- Ability to communicate professionally with employees, subcontractors, clients, and project representatives
- Basic computer skills, including email, Microsoft Office, and digital construction documents
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Willingness and ability to travel to project sites as required
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, or extended hours when required by the project schedule
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with rectangular and spiral duct installation
- Experience working in manufacturing facilities, cleanrooms, dry rooms, semiconductor facilities, battery plants, or other industrial environments
- Familiarity with HVAC equipment, hangers, supports, dampers, insulation, and related mechanical components
- Possession of a valid state-issued HVAC license
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
- Experience coordinating with general contractors, subcontractors, and other construction trades
- Experience preparing daily reports, manpower logs, and project progress documentation
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods at active construction sites
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders and work in elevated or restricted areas
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds when necessary
- Ability to work in indoor and outdoor construction environments
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including a hard hat, safety glasses, safety vest, gloves, and safety footwear
Work Environment
This position is primarily based at active commercial and industrial construction sites. The employee may be exposed to noise, dust, varying temperatures, elevated work areas, moving equipment, and other typical construction-site conditions.
