Brightwater Interior Design is a high-end residential interior design firm based in Cleveland, OH. We are a small firm, requiring flexibility and a team mentality, with the willingness to take on both small and large tasks. We are seeking an exceptionally detail-oriented Interior Designer who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, where precision and attention to detail are key. This is a full-time, primarily in-office position.
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of three years experience at a residential interior design firm and possess exceptional technical, organizational, and project management skills. They are confident in taking initiative and comfortable working both independently and with a small team.
This role is best suited for someone who is polished, proactive, and self-motivated, with exceptional verbal and written communication skills. They possess a strong design sensibility and the confidence to represent the firm with professionalism and poise when working with clients, vendors, consultants, and trade partners.
Day-to-day responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Development of technical drawings: including construction documentation and renderings
- Create and manage project budgets, schedules, installation timelines, and project to-do lists
- Prepare design concepts & presentations
- Schedule and attend client meetings and site visits
- Create and maintain FF&E documentation & schedules for contractors and clients
- Create proposals & documentation for custom furniture and window treatments
- Coordinate installation timelines with Procurement Manager; organize and oversee installations
- Review and redline all shop drawings to ensure design intent
- Represent firm at meetings with architects, contractors and vendors
- Oversee & manage issues with contractors, vendors and clients
Qualifications:
- 4 year degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture preferred
- 3+ years of design experience at a residential design firm
- Expert in AutoCAD; experience in Canva, Google Suite & Photoshop preferred
- Experience leading residential construction projects
- Self-starter who thrives in collaborative, fast-paced, creative environment
- Exceptionally detail-oriented & organized with strong verbal & communication skills
- Confident taking initiative & ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize workflow, and meet deadlines
- Extensive knowledge of fabric, furniture, lighting vendors, etc.
- Salary commensurate with experience
Pay: $40,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
