Duties
- Assist bartenders by preparing garnishes, stocking supplies, and maintaining an organized bar area
- Clean and sanitize bar surfaces, glassware, and utensils regularly to uphold food service bar safety compliance
- Buss tables and clear empty glasses or dishes promptly to ensure a tidy environment
- Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of supplies and cleaning equipment safely and efficiently
- Support food preparation activities when needed, including basic food handling and catering setup
- Manage venue beverage service by replenishing stock and assisting with drink service during busy hours
- Operate POS systems like Micros POS to process transactions accurately and handle cash or card payments
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area through regular cleaning routines including bar cleaning and general tidying
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate service flow and ensure guest satisfaction
- Follow all safety protocols related to food industry standards, including alcohol service regulations
Experience
- Previous food service or restaurant experience is highly preferred, especially in busy venues or banquet settings
- Familiarity with bar experience, including basic math skills for handling transactions and measuring ingredients
- Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms is advantageous
- Knowledge of food industry safety standards, including food preparation and catering experience, is a plus
- Strong communication skills to interact confidently with guests and team members
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Customer service background demonstrating a friendly, energetic approach to guest interactions
