At The LY Studio, movement is simply the doorway. Whether you're teaching preschoolers, elementary students, teens, adults, or seniors, you're doing much more than leading a workout, you are helping create experiences that people remember. This is not a "stand at the front and count reps" kind of position. We're looking for instructors who understand that people walk into a room carrying things they don't always say out loud, and who know how to guide them through movement, mindfulness, encouragement, and genuine connection.
You are not expected to teach exactly like Ari. You are expected to learn The LY Studio Method and become an exceptional instructor within it. We hire people first. We teach our method second.
About the Role You'll primarily teach yoga-based programming while receiving training in The LY Studio teaching philosophy. As you grow, you may also have opportunities to teach or assist with: - Yoga - Kids Yoga - Family Yoga - Chair Yoga - Pilates - Strength & Mobility - Mindfulness - Camps - After-School Programs - Community Events - School Enrichment Programs Most instructors teach 2–6 classes per week, with opportunities to grow as our programs expand.
What You'll Do Teach - Lead engaging yoga and movement classes for children, teens, adults, and seniors. - Adapt your teaching style for different ages and personalities. - Create classes that are structured, energetic, safe, and meaningful. - Teach mindfulness, breathing, confidence, body awareness, and emotional regulation through movement. - Keep students engaged through creativity, presence, and strong classroom management. Represent The LY Studio - Travel to schools, preschools, recreation centers, and community facilities throughout North Fulton. - Arrive early, prepared, and professionally dressed. - Build positive relationships with schools, families, and community partners. - Represent our culture both inside and outside the studio. Continue Growing - Learn The LY Studio teaching method. - Participate in instructor training and mentorship. - Accept feedback with curiosity and professionalism. - Continue refining your teaching skills. --- Who You Are You... - Have a calm, confident presence. - Can lead a room without dominating it. - Are energetic without becoming chaotic. - Connect naturally with children and adults. - Adjust your communication based on who is in front of you. - Believe relationships matter more than performance. - Show up on time and follow through. - Welcome coaching and constructive feedback. - Want to build a meaningful career, not simply teach another fitness class.
You Might Be a Great Fit If You Have Experience In - Yoga - Pilates - Personal Training - Dance - Group Fitness - Early Childhood Education - Teaching - Childcare - Occupational Therapy - Recreation - Performing Arts Yoga certification is welcomed but not required for the right candidate with strong teaching ability and a willingness to learn.
This Role Isn't For Someone Who... - Needs a script for every minute. - Tries to impress instead of connect. - Talks more than they listen. - Has difficulty managing children. - Is unreliable with attendance. - Sees teaching as simply counting reps or demonstrating poses. - Isn't interested in growing professionally.
Schedule Typical teaching windows include: Morning Programs 9:30 AM–12:30 PM Afternoon & Evening Programs 2:00 PM–8:30 PM Flexible scheduling based on availability. Most instructors teach 2–6 classes per week, with additional opportunities available for camps, workshops, and substitute teaching. --- Compensation $20–$40 per hour Pay is based on: - Teaching ability - Classroom leadership - Professionalism - Reliability - Experience - Coachability - Ability to build meaningful relationships Certifications matter—but presence, consistency, and the ability to connect with people matter even more.
