Position Overview
As a Quality Control Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and driving the success of our quality control efforts in our new sawmill in the Southern US. You'll have the opportunity to utilize your expertise in the lumber manufacturing industry to optimize production processes, enhance efficiency, and ensure the highest standards of quality and safety are maintained.
Key Responsibilities
· Provide strategic leadership and direction in our quality control efforts, operational performance and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
· Oversee all aspects of Two Rivers’ quality control programs, including production planning, resource management, lumber inspections, optimizer set up and maintenance, record keeping, employee management and safety protocols.
· Develop and implement innovative strategies to increase productivity, reduce costs, and maximize profitability.
· Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to integrate fabrication, construction, machinery, and plant design solutions into forest industry operations, optimizing efficiency and performance.
· Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and employee development, empowering team members to achieve their full potential.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, regulatory agencies, and local communities.
· Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices, implementing new technologies and practices to drive innovation and competitive advantage.
· Other duties as requested.
Qualifications
· Proven track record of 3+ years of progressive leadership experience in the forest/sawmill industry, with a demonstrated ability to effectively manage operations and drive strategic initiatives.
· Strong technical knowledge of sawmill equipment, processes, and industry best practices acquired through hands-on experience.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
· Demonstrated leadership qualities, including integrity, resilience, and a passion for driving continuous improvement.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
