The Box Office Manager is responsible for varied and multiple tasks associated with managing a box office during public shows. This position requires flexibility, adaptability to instructions, customer courtesy, attention to detail, and possessing strong technical proficiency. The Box Office Manager reports to the Assistant Director of Gateway Center.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for staffing ticket sellers, ticket takers, ushers etc. for events that are utilizing the Box Office.

Responsible for obtaining bankroll, setting up cash drawers, and monitoring the drawers throughout the event.

Supervises the sellers, takers, ushers etc. during the hours that the Box Office is open and provides relief for breaks and lunches.

Monitor and assist with ticket sales when necessary.
- Reconciles bank drawers at end of show and provides appropriate event and settlement summaries/reports.

Acts as liaison with show promoters, updating ticket counts throughout event.

Courteously and efficiently manage Box Office and event inquiries.

Monitor Box Office supplies and communicates with the Assistant Director accordingly.

Create & maintain reports for all box office events.

Ensure proper controls and box office procedures are always followed (i.e., cash transport, cash draw reconciliation).

Oversee all training for box office staff.

And, as otherwise, instructed by Assistant Director/Director of Gateway Center.
Qualifications:

Experience with customer service and cash detail

Computer experience
- Must be available to work evenings and weekends, with at least 2 weeks' notice
Classification: Part-Time - $17/hour, currently 125 working hours annually.
