Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic 4th Grade Long-Term Substitute Teacher to join our vibrant educational community. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, incorporating diverse instructional strategies to meet the needs of all learners.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively through proactive behavior management techniques and positive reinforcement.
- Foster an inclusive classroom environment that respects and celebrates students from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Utilize educational technologies and computers to enhance instruction and student engagement.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, achievements, and areas for growth through clear and professional channels.
- Collaborate with school staff, including fellow teachers and specialists, to support student development and curriculum implementation.
- Adhere to school policies, mandated reporting laws, and early childhood education best practices to ensure a safe and compliant learning environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field; valid teaching credential for elementary grades preferred.
- Prior classroom experience working with children, especially in elementary or early childhood settings.
- Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum development, lesson planning, literacy education, math instruction, and special education strategies.
- Experience working with students with autism or other learning differences is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with students, colleagues, and families.
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies.
- Proficiency in using educational technologies and computers for instructional purposes.
- Knowledge of school policies, mandated reporting laws, and childhood development principles.
- Ability to adapt instruction for students from diverse cultural backgrounds and varying learning needs.
