Schedule: 8-hour shift (schedule subject to change based on business conditions)

Reports To: Manufacturing Manager / Production Lead
The Plant Operator - Sizing is responsible for performing the operations required to process, size, blend, inspect, and package finished product in accordance with customer specifications and quality standards. This role plays a key part in maintaining product quality, supporting production efficiency, and ensuring a safe work environment.
The successful candidate will work independently while collaborating with production leadership and team members to support daily operations. Strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety are essential.
IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?
- Operate sizing, screening, blending, and packaging equipment safely and efficiently.
- Perform product sizing, blending, magnetic separation, and packaging activities.
- Conduct quality checks, including sieve analysis, sampling, and visual inspections.
- Complete production and quality records accurately.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and minor equipment maintenance.
- Operate forklifts and material handling equipment.
- Maintain housekeeping and 5S standards within the work area.
- Follow all safety procedures, including PPE requirements and lockout/tagout practices.
- Participate in continuous improvement, safety, and operational excellence initiatives.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Ability to work safely and independently in a manufacturing environment.
- Basic math and recordkeeping skills.
- Ability to learn production processes, equipment operation, and quality requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills.
- One year of industrial manufacturing experience.
- One year of forklift operating experience.
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing, and material handling.
- Ability to work around industrial equipment, dust, noise, and varying environmental conditions.
- Ability to wear required PPE, including safety glasses, hearing protection, safety shoes, and respirators as required.
