Grant Research & Development Associate (Part-Time, Remote)
Pay: $15–$20 per hour
Schedule: Part-time, variable hours (estimated 5–15 hours/week depending on workload)
Overview
We are seeking a Grant Research & Development Associate to support ongoing nonprofit and mission-driven initiatives.
This role focuses on finding relevant grant opportunities, completing applications, and helping manage awarded grants. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and able to move work forward efficiently without getting stuck in perfection.
Work will span projects in food systems, agriculture, workforce development, and community-based programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and identify relevant grant opportunities (local, state, federal, foundation)
- Review eligibility and requirements to determine fit
- Summarize opportunities and provide clear recommendations
- Prepare and submit grant applications using provided materials and direction
- Coordinate required documents (budgets, narratives, attachments)
- Track deadlines, submissions, and outcomes
- Support post-award tracking and reporting requirements
- Maintain organized systems for grants (trackers, folders, timelines)
Qualifications
- Experience with grant research, writing, or administration preferred
- Strong research and organizational skills
- Clear and concise writing ability
- High attention to detail and deadlines
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment
Preferred (Not Required)
- Experience working with nonprofits or community-based organizations
- Familiarity with government or foundation grant processes
- Interest in food systems, agriculture, or community development
