Position Summary: The Production Scheduler supports daily production planning activities to ensure customer orders are scheduled and completed efficiently. This role works closely with production, purchasing, and logistics teams to help maintain an accurate production schedule, monitor order progress, and ensure materials and resources are available to meet production timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update daily and weekly production schedules based on customer orders and shop capacity.
- Coordinate with production supervisors to track order progress and ensure schedules remain on target.
- Monitor production timelines and communicate schedule updates or delays to internal teams.
- Assist with maintaining accurate inventory data for materials required for production.
- Allocate available inventory to customer orders as directed.
- Work with the purchasing team to track incoming materials and help expedite orders when needed.
- Coordinate with logistics to support shipment scheduling of finished products.
- Communicate with the sales team regarding order status and expected completion dates.
- Assist with updating ERP systems with order and scheduling information.
- Support production planning activities and help resolve scheduling conflicts as they arise.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
- Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.
- Exposure to production planning, scheduling, inventory coordination, or shop floor operations is a plus.
- Experience using ERP or manufacturing software systems preferred.
- Basic to intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate scheduling and inventory data.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including production, purchasing, logistics, and sales.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and adapt to changing production priorities.

Work Environment: This position operates in an office environment and on the production floor. Individual in position routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, photocopiers, and phones. Production floor environment is warm in summer and cool in the winter.
Physical Demands: This is a full-time position, normal work hours are Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm. Must be willing to work overtime as scheduled and required.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
