Job Summary
Bulldog Law PLC is seeking a detail-oriented Bilingual Paralegal to join our legal team. While this is a general paralegal role, the ideal candidate will have a primary focus on supporting attorneys through all stages of the criminal process, from initial case development to trial preparation.
Key Responsibilities
- Criminal Litigation Support: Assist attorneys in trial preparation by conducting witness interviews, gathering evidence, and preparing exhibits.
- Spanish Translation & Client Interface: Act as a vital link for our Spanish-speaking clientele by obtaining necessary information and providing regular case status updates.
- Legal Drafting: Assist in the preparation of various legal documents, including pleadings, motions (specifically 1050 Motions to Continue), and briefs.
- Case Management: Organize and manage case files within CLIO, ensuring all documentation is accurate, up to date, and filed with the relevant courts.
- Research & Analysis: Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis on criminal law matters and assist with the expungement process.
- Professional Coordination: Coordinate with court personnel, expert witnesses, and other professionals involved in the legal process.
Requirements
- Bilingual Proficiency: Spanish speaking, reading, and writing is a MUST.
- Experience: Previous experience working in a law office (Criminal Defense preferred).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using legal software, specifically CLIO, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Core Knowledge: A thorough understanding of criminal law principles, rules, and procedures.
- Professionalism: Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 per week
