Job Purpose
The Front Desk Agent is the face of our boutique hotel, responsible for providing exceptional guest service, managing check-in and check-out procedures, and handling guest inquiries and reservations. This role requires a friendly and professional demeanor, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is committed to ensuring a welcoming and memorable experience for all guests.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Guest Check-In and Check-Out:
- Greet guests with a warm and friendly welcome.
- Efficiently manage the check-in and check-out process, ensuring accuracy in room assignments and payment processing.
- Provide information about hotel amenities, services, and local attractions.
Reservation Management:
- Handle phone and online reservations, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Update and manage guest information in the hotel's property management system.
- Monitor room availability and assist with booking inquiries.
Guest Services:
- Respond to guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Provide concierge services, such as restaurant reservations and transportation arrangements.
- Ensure all guest needs are met and exceed their expectations.
Communication and Coordination:
- Liaise with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
- Communicate guest preferences and special requests to relevant departments.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with team members and management.
Billing and Payment Processing:
- Accurately process guest payments, including cash, credit card, and room charges.
- Prepare and present guest bills upon check-out, ensuring all charges are correct.
- Handle billing inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
Security and Safety:
- Monitor the security of the front desk area and report any suspicious activities.
- Follow hotel safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Maintain the confidentiality of guest information and adhere to privacy standards.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
