Job Summary
Dependable Home Care, Inc. is an established and Medicare Recognized 5 - Star Home Health Agency in Garland, Texas is looking for a compassionate and experienced Home Health Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team to do a Start, Recertification, Resumption of patient care assessment on a PRN basis across East and Tyler, Texas surrounding areas such as: Kauffman, Fate, Heath, Rockwall, Garland, Forney, Terrell, Royse, Mesquite, Canton, Lindale, Winona, Whitehouse, Edgewood, Bullard, Troup, ARP, New Chapel Hill, Hideaway, Longview, Pittsburg, Athens, Palestine, Chandler, Jacksonville, Grand Saline, Ben Wheeler and Van in Van Zandt County . The ideal candidate must have at least one year of home health experience and a strong commitment to providing exceptional care to patients in their homes.
- Perform admissions, recertification’s, and discharges for home health patients.
- Administer IV push/therapy, wound vac, lab draws, foley catheter changes, injections, and PICC line dressing changes.
- Provide trach care, suture/staple removal, and patient education regarding disease processes, medications, and home safety to prevent medical complications.
- Collaborate with physicians, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated and effective care plan.
- Maintain accurate and submit on time patient documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid Texas license.
- Minimum of one year of home health experience is preferred.
- Skills in performing IV therapy, wound care, lab draws, Foley catheter changes, and other skilled nursing procedures.
- Strong clinical skills with the ability to work independently in a home setting.
- Excellent communication skills for patient teaching and collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Ability to travel to patient homes within the service area.
- Current CPR certification.
