Town Center Pharmacy
is seeking a dependable, patient-focused
Relief Pharmacist
to provide coverage approximately
1–2 weekdays per week and 2 Saturdays per month.
This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacist looking for a flexible part-time schedule in a community pharmacy setting.
Position Summary
The Relief Pharmacist will be responsible for providing safe, accurate, and compassionate pharmacy services while covering scheduled shifts. The pharmacist will work closely with pharmacy technicians, patients, healthcare providers, and the pharmacy team to ensure efficient daily operations and excellent patient care.
Schedule
1–2 weekdays per week based on scheduling needs and availability
2 Saturdays per month
Flexible scheduling and advance coordination preferred
Additional coverage may be available or requested as needed
Key Responsibilities
Dispense prescription medications accurately and safely in accordance with applicable laws andprofessional standards.
Review prescriptions for appropriate dosing, drug interactions, contraindications, allergies, andother potential concerns.
Counsel patients regarding medications, including proper use, potential side effects, andprecautions.
Communicate with prescribers and other healthcare professionals when clarification or interventionis needed.
Supervise and support pharmacy technicians and other pharmacy staff during scheduled shifts.
Ensure compliance with all federal and state pharmacy laws, regulations, and company policies.
Maintain accurate patient records and appropriate pharmacy documentation.
Assist with immunizations and other clinical services, as authorized and required.
Help maintain efficient workflow and a clean, organized, and professional pharmacy environment.
Provide friendly, personalized customer service to patients and their families.
Address patient questions and concerns professionally and promptly.
Assist with inventory management, medication ordering, and other pharmacy operations as needed.
Protect patient privacy and maintain confidentiality at all times.
Perform other duties appropriate to the role of a licensed pharmacist.
Qualifications
Current, unrestricted
Texas Pharmacist License
in good standing.
PharmD or equivalent pharmacy degree from an accredited program.
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $55.00 - $58.00 per hour
