Responsibilities
The Hotel Night Auditor performs the duties of guest service representative and is responsible for auditing, posting and balancing of daily financial transactions to support the hotels continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.
Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Audit, balance, post and report on the room charges including phone calls, zero balance folios, corrections and adjustments, taxes, disputed charges, over/short figures to ensure accuracy, food and beverage charges and ensure proper cash handing procedures are followed
- Run audit reports, journals from the front office system, point of service
- Balance all revenue and settlement accounts nightly, maintain files, and reset the system for next day operations.
- Promptly answer the telephone in a friendly, courteous manner
- Walk the entire property daily and complete a nightly report
