Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Controller to oversee accounting operations at our manufacturing site. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with GAAP and tax regulations, and leading a team of accounting professionals. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting expertise, attention to detail, and leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform financial analysis to support business decision-making
- Oversee accounting for general and sub-ledgers
- Prepare financial statements in accordance with the group accounting manual, local GAAP, and tax law, ensuring timely reporting in the group consolidation tool (Cognos)
- Manage asset accounting
- Identify and investigate unusual variances in P&L accounts
- Review payroll for assigned sites
- Perform accounts payable reconciliation and execute payment runs
- Monitor the accounts receivable aging report and follow up on past-due accounts as needed
- Support liquidity planning and dunning processes
- Prepare 1099 filings
- Serve as the primary contact for auditors during annual audits
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or Business
- 3+ years of experience in accounting
- Experience with US GAAP or Swiss GAAP reporting
- SAP experience preferred
- Advanced Excel skills required
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills

Pay: $55.00 - $65.00 per hour
