About Us
Stanly Adult Care Center is a nonprofit Adult Day Health Program dedicated to helping adults age with purpose while providing support, supervision, and meaningful engagement in a safe and welcoming environment. Our participants include older adults and adults with chronic health conditions who benefit from structured daytime care, socialization, and assistance with daily activities.
We are seeking compassionate, dependable Personal Care Aides (PCAs) to join our team and make a positive difference in the lives of those we serve.
Position Summary
The Personal Care Aide provides direct care and support to participants throughout the day, assisting with personal care needs, meals, activities, and maintaining a safe and engaging environment. This position works closely with the Healthcare Coordinator and other team members to ensure participants receive quality care with dignity and respect.
Responsibilities
- Assist participants with activities of daily living, including toileting, dressing, grooming, hygiene, and eating.
- Provide support with mobility, transfers, and participant safety.
- Monitor participants' well-being and promptly report concerns or changes in condition to the Healthcare Coordinator.
- Assist with meal service and monitor dietary needs as directed.
- Encourage participant engagement in activities, socialization, and therapeutic programs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment.
- Follow participant care plans and center policies and procedures.
- Work collaboratively with staff to support daily operations and participant care.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- CNA certification preferred; PCA experience considered.
- Minimum of 1 year experience working with older adults, individuals with disabilities, or in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred or ability to obtain after hire.
- Must pass background screening and meet employment requirements.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, and assist with personal care tasks.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.

Schedule:
Monday–Friday, Day Shift
