Network Operations Manager
Position Summary
The Network Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the operational performance of multiple Service Centers within the assigned region. This position ensures that all facilities, delivery partners, and operational teams meet company standards for on-time delivery, service quality, productivity, cost control, safety, and compliance.
The role works closely with Service Center Managers, DSPs/3PL partners, Linehaul, Quality Control, and regional leadership to identify operational risks, resolve performance issues, and continuously improve the overall logistics network.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations and performance across multiple Service Centers within the assigned region.
- Monitor key operational KPIs, including On-Time Delivery, Out-for-Delivery performance, backlog, aging parcels, delivery quality, loss/claims, productivity, and cost.
- Identify underperforming Service Centers, routes, DSPs, and operational processes and develop corrective action plans.
- Manage and evaluate DSP/3PL partner performance, including capacity, driver availability, delivery quality, compliance, and operational execution.
- Conduct regular operational reviews with Service Center Managers and DSP leadership.
- Support capacity planning and ensure adequate warehouse, driver, and DSP resources during volume increases and peak seasons.
- Coordinate operational recovery plans for backlog, late linehaul arrivals, staffing shortages, system issues, and other service disruptions.
- Standardize SOPs and ensure consistent execution across Service Centers.
- Conduct operational audits and site visits to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Support new Service Center launches, route expansions, DSP onboarding, and network optimization projects.
- Analyze operational data and provide performance reports, root-cause analysis, and improvement recommendations to regional leadership.
- Coordinate with Linehaul, QC, Finance, HR, IT/Product, and other departments to resolve operational issues.
- Ensure compliance with applicable company safety requirements and relevant federal, state, and local regulations.
- Coach and develop Service Center Managers and operational leadership teams.
Qualifications
Required
- 3+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, parcel delivery, 3PL, e-commerce fulfillment, or last-mile operations.
- 2+ years of management or multi-site operational leadership experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of last-mile delivery and warehouse/service center operations.
- Experience managing DSPs, third-party carriers, contractors, or 3PL partners strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of logistics KPIs and performance management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including root-cause analysis and corrective action planning.
- Ability to manage multiple facilities and operational priorities simultaneously.
- Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and operational reporting tools.
- Experience with WMS, TMS, routing, dispatch, or delivery management systems preferred.
- Ability to travel regularly between Service Centers.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, or extended hours when required by operational needs.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.
- Equivalent logistics management experience may be considered in place of a degree.

- Last-mile parcel delivery or e-commerce logistics experience.
- High-volume parcel operation experience.
- Multi-site operations management.
- DSP / independent contractor management.
- Peak-season capacity planning.
- New Service Center launch or network expansion experience.
- KPI dashboard and data analysis experience.
