Artists & Repertoire (A&R) Intern
Overview:
We are looking for a motivated and passionate A&R intern to join our team and help us discover and develop new talent. The intern will work closely with our A&R team to scout new artists, listen to demos, provide feedback, and assist in the production and release of music. The ideal candidate should have a deep knowledge and love of music, excellent communication and organizational skills, and a keen ear for talent.
Responsibilities:
- Scout new artists and music through various channels, including attending live shows, reviewing online submissions, and networking with industry contacts.
- Listen to demos and provide feedback to artists and their representatives.
- Assist in the production process, including scheduling recording sessions, coordinating with producers and engineers, and overseeing the mixing and mastering process.
- Collaborate with marketing and promotion teams to develop release strategies and campaigns for new music.
- Attend live shows, showcases, and industry events to network and discover new talent.
- Provide administrative support to the A&R team, including organizing files and maintaining databases.
- Other duties as assigned by the A&R team.
Qualifications:
- Deep knowledge and love of music across multiple genres.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Knowledge of recording and production processes is a plus.
- Experience with music software and production tools, such as Pro Tools, Logic Pro, and Ableton Live is a plus.
- Previous experience in music promotion, artist management, or related fields is a plus.
- Must be able to handle confidential information with discretion.
This is a paid, part-time internship with flexible hours. The internship duration is 3-6 months with the possibility of an extension.
