Set up the Packaging equipment and the packaging lines prior to start-up.
Check that the proper products and/or ingredients are being used on the line based on the product being produced and packaged.
Perform Packaging equipment changeovers.
Monitor and record temperatures of ingredients and products as required.
Fill out the “Production- Quality Packaging sheet”. Notify QA, Lead and/ or Supervisor of any production and/or quality issues.
Fill out the Downtime report. Notify Lead, Supervisor and /or Maintenance of any mechanical issues or equipment damage.
Properly label any raw materials (ingredients) or finished goods that are left over from the run and cover these and store under refrigeration or in freezer. Notify Lead and/or Supervisor of these items.
Report any production issues or potential issues to the Lead person and/or Supervisor.
Report any quality issues or potential issues to the Quality Tech, Lead person and or QC Supervisor.
Report any safety issues or potential issues to the Lead person, Supervisor and/ or Safety Manager.
Watch for & report any suspicious activities or unusual observations to authorized personnel.
Keep the work area clean and always organized.
Troubleshoot minor machine issues and/or notify maintenance of issues that require repair.
Complete required paperwork.
Complete all other duties assigned by shift supervisor.
