We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Afterschool Program Coordinator to lead our afterschool initiatives at Sugar Creek Charter School for the 2026-2027 academic year. Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and implement diverse afterschool activities aligned with educational goals and student interests
- Supervise program staff, volunteers, and student participants to ensure safety and engagement
- Coordinate schedules, resources, and materials needed for daily activities and special events
- Foster strong relationships with school staff, parents, community organizations, and local stakeholders to enhance program offerings
- Monitor student behavior and provide mentorship to promote positive social interactions
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, participation, and program outcomes
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, policies, and licensing requirements
Requirements
- Prior experience in education administration or higher education teaching roles involving youth or student programs
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students of diverse backgrounds and needs
- Strong organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with staff, parents, and community partners
- Knowledge of educational best practices and youth development principles
- University experience or background in teaching or education-related fields is highly preferred
- Passion for working with students to foster their academic and personal growth
