Job Summary
David Shield Security is seeking highly trained and reliable Armed Security Officers to ensure the safety and security of students, faculty, and school property. Officers will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment while deterring threats and responding to incidents swiftly and professionally.
Responsibilities
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team
- Provide a visible and professional security presence on campus.
- Monitor school grounds, access points, and perimeter during operating hours.
- Perform foot patrols, enforce campus rules, and respond to emergencies.
- Ensure controlled access to buildings and restricted areas.
- Work closely with school administrators and local law enforcement if needed.
- Prepare detailed incident and daily activity reports.
- Provide support during arrival, dismissal, and school events.
- Participate in drills and emergency preparedness activities.
Experience
- Must be currently licensed as an Armed Security Officer in the State of
- Minimum of 4 years of security experience, including at least 2 years serving in an armed security role
- Strong conflict management abilities to handle challenging situations effectively.
- Familiarity with surveillance systems and loss prevention techniques is advantageous
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
- High school diploma or GED required; additional security training a plus.
- Clean background check and drug screening.
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
