Manages a variety of financial projects with a focus on developing business plans for new programs and evaluating results of established programs. Provides support for routine financial projects, including preparation of the annual operating and capital budgets as well as the five-year plan. Assists in the preparation of annual operating and capital budgets and projections. Evaluates and performs regular monitoring of actual performance against existing budgets, identifying areas of improvement. Provides support for analysis in the preparation of periodic financial reports and key performance metrics of the organization's operations. Creates ad hoc and/or monthly, quarterly or yearly trend reports in new systems to assist in this analysis. Acts as liaison with other business units by providing financial information and explanation to operating departments. Assists in the development and evaluation of financial projections that reflect the operating program results. Determines the program's impact on operating and capital budgets. Assists in benchmarking initiatives for various lines of business within the organization. Analyzes and compares financial and operating performance within the system and against industry benchmarks. Collects and compiles data to perform special system-wide projects and to complete surveys and reports. Functions as a resource for initiatives to improve financial reporting, planning, analysis, and initiatives related to financial systems, operations or internal controls. BS degree and/or a minimum of 5 years' progressive experience in healthcare finance with a focus in financial analysis. Must possess a high level of computer literacy and demonstrated knowledge and expertise in using tools such as Microsoft Excel, and database query tools. Must have a fundamental knowledge of accounting/finance and be very detail-oriented with exceptional communication experience and skills. Preference will be given to any candidate who shows evidence of a track record of success over baseline requirements.
