American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN Case Manager with acute hospital and charge experience for a day-shift position requiring EPIC proficiency and NC or compact RN licensure.

Acute hospital setting within the Case Management/Utilization Review department
-
Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
-
Patient ratio of approximately 1:25

Uses EPIC EMR system
-
Travelers may be required to float to any campus within the health system as needed
-
Active RN license (NC or Compact) required in hand at time of consideration
-
Current BLS certification required
-
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
-
Acute hospital experience required
-
Experience in ICU, Med-Surg, PICU, SDU, PCU, IMC, or Observation specialties required
-
Previous Charge Nurse experience required
-
Community hospital experience required
-
EPIC EMR experience required
-
Prior travel nurse experience required
-
Experience with discharge planning, needs assessment, DME ordering, and plan of care development required

Regulatory experience with CMS (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services) required

Must pass a Pass/Fail EKG compliance exam (two attempts allowed), regardless of specialty
-
Responsibilities include discharge planning, needs assessment, DME ordering, and plan of care coordination
-
Perform utilization review duties including determining medical necessity per evidence-based guidelines
-
Coordinate care in compliance with CMS regulatory standards

First-time travelers will not be considered for this position

Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility, as local candidates are not accepted

RTO requests must be submitted at the time of application; post-submission RTO requests will not be accepted

Teaching hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II experience are preferred but not required
