Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Truck Driver and take on an exciting role that keeps goods moving efficiently across various routes! In this position, you'll operate tractor-trailers and other commercial vehicles to transport freight safely and reliably, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. .
Duties
- Safely operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, on over-the-road (OTR) routes while complying with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards.
- Navigate using GPS systems to ensure accurate delivery routes and timely arrivals at designated locations.
- Load and unload freight manually or with equipment, ensuring proper handling of logistics cargo including hazardous materials and dangerous goods.
- Transport automobile parts or other cargo securely, maintaining the integrity of the load during transit.
- Manage delivery driving responsibilities by executing route driving plans efficiently and responsibly across various destinations.
- Adhere strictly to hazardous materials regulations when transporting dangerous goods, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections, maintenance checks, and documentation to guarantee vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules, route adjustments, or unforeseen issues during transit.
