Responsibilities
- Expedite food orders by coordinating between kitchen stations and ensuring timely delivery of dishes to the serving area
- Prepare ingredients and assist in food assembly according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Maintain high standards of food safety, cleanliness, and organization in all work areas
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to clarify orders, special requests, and timing requirements
- Assist with food handling, plating, and garnishing to ensure visually appealing presentations
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables promptly and maintaining a tidy service area
- Collaborate with servers and front-of-house staff to deliver exceptional guest experiences through efficient food service
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food preparation, food expediting or restaurant settings preferred
- Strong understanding of food safety protocols and proper handling techniques
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with kitchen team members
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic numeracy skills for portioning and order accuracy
- Familiarity with POS (Point of Sale) systems is a plus but not required
- Demonstrated organizational skills and a proactive attitude towards teamwork and hospitality
