Job Summary
This position participates in the processing of in-coming and out-going election ballots in preparation for official vote counts. They serve on election boards, including write-in boards, official hand counts, and official recounts. The work hours may vary and could require extended shifts.
Essential Functions-
Election Ballot Processing
-
Serve within a diverse team in a secure setting
-
Sort, process and review ballots in accordance with the instructions provided
-
Separate ballot materials from envelopes and operate related equipment, as needed
-
Review and prepare ballots for vote tabulation and run equipment
-
Secure and Transport Election Materials
-
Lift and transport election materials
-
Follow instructions and perform duties within the rules and guidance provided
-
Work without expressing political views while on the job
-
Maintain the security and privacy of each ballot cast
Please note:-
This is an on-call position not to exceed 1040 hours in a fiscal year.

The following minimum qualifications are required for this position:-
High School Diploma or GED; AND
-
1 year of professional work experience.
Candidates with an equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered. Please note candidates must have at least 6 months of actual work experience to be considered as equivalent.
