The role of the Quality Assurance/Control Technician includes gathering data & participate in root cause assessment of Out of Trend (OOT) &Out of Specification (OOS) material & help to implement & support the corrective/preventive actions approved to mitigate them. Quality Assurance/Control Technician creates Certificate of Analysis (COA) & also test materials before, during &after production to measure characteristics to ensure that they conform to internal &external (customer) specifications in addition to meeting the required levels of quality. All data collection is maintained in SAP; additional data review may utilize Excel.
The Quality Assurance/Control Technician I should be able to operate in a team environment through proper communication & assisting each other during all steps of operation. They should embrace the Mondi culture & strive for success through the Mondi way. Overall, they will support the ISO standards within the laboratory & be a model to those outside the quality organization.
Your responsibilities:

Create & maintain Certificate of Analysis (COA) utilizing the automated system.

Releases all conforming material in SAP for shipment.

Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs) investigations in respective facility including scrap process for all non-conforming events.

Support Quality Manager with internal complaint investigations in respective facility including regular quality meetings with operations together with quality manager to share RCA / corrective & preventive actions & discuss additional improvement potentials.

Support Quality Manager with external complaint investigations from respective facility (RCA & CAPAs) including gathering data on MES/SAP & Pi vision.

Assist with audit findings & upkeeping of records for calibration, pest control, MSDS & Customer COAs.

Assist to review & update procedures to maintain compliance with ISO with the goal of continuous improvement.

Maintain raw material certificates such as COAs & input data appropriately into SAP.

Perform quality testing as required by production paperwork per controlled procedures.

Partake in all safety training & audits; exhibit safe behavior at all times.

Supply samples & photos of defects to the appropriate parties.

Block suspect & non-conforming product appropriate &communicate to all interested parties.
Duties & Responsibilities specific to Leonia.

Maintain slitting samples in a clean & organized fashion, responsible for proper record retention.

Confirm product off the slitter is conforming & meets all customer requirements including wind direction print quality & overall quality of the rolls & pallets.

Back up for releasing all conforming material in SAP for shipment.

Education:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
Experience:

Previous laboratory or test experience is required. A minimum of 2-years Quality related experience in manufacturing environment.

A minimum of 2-years Quality related experience in an ISO 9001 facility.

Knowledge to add, subtract, multiply, & divide, using whole numbers, common fractions, & decimals.
