We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Clinical Supervisor to lead our clinical team in delivering exceptional patient care. This vital role involves overseeing clinical operations, supervising staff, and ensuring the highest standards of patient care across diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and adults. Responsibilities
Clinical Operations
- Supervise daily clinical operations to ensure efficient patient flow and quality patient care.
- Coordinate clinical staffing assignments and adjust schedules based on patient volume.
- Monitor clinic workflow and implement process improvements to maximize efficiency.
- Collaborate with providers to optimize clinic operations and patient throughput.
Staff Leadership and Supervision
- Directly supervise clinical staff, including hiring, onboarding, orientation, training, coaching, and performance evaluations.
- Provide ongoing mentoring and professional development opportunities.
- Address employee performance concerns through coaching and corrective action when appropriate.
- Monitor attendance, productivity, and compliance with organizational policies.
- Promote teamwork, accountability, and employee engagement.
Clinical Quality and Patient Safety
- Ensure compliance with evidence-based clinical practices and organizational protocols.
- Monitor quality indicators and patient satisfaction metrics.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and performance improvement projects.
- Investigate patient concerns related to clinical care and implement corrective actions when appropriate.
- Promote infection prevention and patient safety practices.
Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, CDC, CMS, CLIA (if applicable), and state regulatory requirements.
- Monitor completion of required competencies, certifications, and mandatory education.
- Ensure proper documentation within the electronic health record (EHR).
Clinical Education
- Coordinate orientation and competency assessments for new clinical staff.
- Provide education on clinical policies, procedures, equipment, and workflows.
- Facilitate annual skills validation and mandatory training.
- Promote continuing education and evidence-based practice.
Inventory and Equipment
- Ensure preventive maintenance and repair of clinical equipment.
- Monitor emergency equipment
Provider Support
- Serve as a liaison between providers and clinical staff.
- Assist with implementation of new clinical services and workflows.
- Support providers with clinical quality initiatives and operational improvements.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Monitor clinical productivity and staffing metrics.
- Participate in leadership meetings and organizational committees.
- Prepare reports related to staffing, quality, compliance, and clinic operations.
- Collaborate with revenue cycle, scheduling, and administrative departments to improve operational performance.
Requirements
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (RN preferred; LPN may be considered based on organizational needs).
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.
Licensure and Certification
- Current unrestricted RN or LPN license (as applicable) in Idaho.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Advanced certifications are preferred.
Experience
- Minimum of 3–5 years of outpatient clinical experience.
- At least 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
- Experience in a specialty clinic (ENT, surgical, or ambulatory care) preferred.
- Experience with electronic health records (eClinicalWorks preferred).
