Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Tanning Salon Associate to join our team. In this role, you will provide exceptional customer service, assist clients with their tanning needs, and ensure the salon maintains a clean and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate is personable, detail-oriented, and eager to promote our services while creating a positive experience for every guest. Esthetician license or experience with tanning or spray tanning a plus! Part time position offered, very flexible schedule but some evenings and weekends will be required.
Duties
- Greet clients warmly and assist them in selecting tanning services or products.
- Operate tanning equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring proper sanitation between uses.
- Educate clients on tanning procedures, safety guidelines, and available products or upgrades.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments through the POS system.
- Upsell additional services or products to enhance the client’s experience and increase sales.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tanning beds, workstations, and common areas in compliance with health standards.
- Manage appointment scheduling and walk-in client flow to optimize salon operations.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, concerns, or special requests professionally.
- Responsible for day to day cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, salon laundry
- Maintaining Cleanliness in salon rooms & common areas
Skills
- Strong sales skills with the ability to upsell products and services effectively.
- Excellent customer service skills to create a welcoming environment for clients.
- Knowledge of sanitation procedures relevant to salon environments.
- Basic cash handling experience for processing transactions accurately.
- Cosmetology background or related experience is a plus but not required; training will be provided.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with diverse clients.
- Friendly demeanor with a focus on customer satisfaction and safety standards.
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
