You will handle projects ranging from drywall patching and trim installation to basic fixture replacements and carpentry work. - Complete a variety of home repairs, maintenance tasks, and light remodeling projects, including carpentry, drywall repair, painting, tiling, and flooring.
- Perform basic plumbing and electrical tasks, such as replacing faucets, light fixtures, or ceiling fans.
- Install doors, windows, trim, cabinets, and finish carpentry items.
- Evaluate repair issues on-site, troubleshoot root causes, and determine the most effective solutions.
- Communicate directly and professionally with homeowners to explain the scope of work and answer questions.
- Document completed jobs, manage materials using a company-provided credit card, and maintain accurate records of your time.
- Proven experience working as a carpenter, handyman, or residential maintenance technician.
- Practical knowledge across multiple trades, particularly carpentry, drywall, painting, and basic home repairs.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to solve unexpected repair challenges independently.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with a professional and respectful demeanor.
- A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Ownership of a standard set of professional hand and power tools.
- Ability to pass a standard background check and drug screening.
- Experience with home inspections or project estimating.
- Specialized experience in finish carpentry, tile laying, or custom installations.
