Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and ensure they feel comfortable from the moment they walk in.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring special requests are noted and fulfilled.
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness.
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities.
- Manage tables effectively by bussing, resetting, and ensuring timely service throughout guests’ dining experience.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems; process payments with cash handling skills and basic math proficiency.
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards by adhering to proper food handling procedures and sanitation protocols.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and resolve any issues promptly.
- Assist with reservations via OpenTable or similar platforms to optimize seating arrangements and guest flow.
- Provide excellent guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns, and ensuring overall satisfaction in a lively environment such as a nightclub or fine dining setting.
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, including fine dining or nightlife venues.
- Strong knowledge of POS systems like Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport quickly and handle diverse guest needs confidently.
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy hours while maintaining quality service.
- Ability to upsell menu items naturally to enhance guest experience and revenue.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and proper food handling techniques.
- Experience with serving in high-energy environments such as nightclubs or bustling restaurants is a plus.
- Basic math skills for cashiering, cash handling, and processing transactions accurately.
- Familiarity with food preparation processes, kitchen operations, or culinary experience is advantageous.
