This is a brand new cafe experience located inside of our well established chocolate shop. This position will offer the opportunity to set guidelines and procedures to ensure smooth operations. Barista experience is required!
Set schedule Tuesday-Saturday 9:45-6:15 with a 30 min paid break
Duties
- Lead daily café operations, ensuring efficient service and high-quality beverage preparation in line with company standards.
- Oversee food handling and safety procedures to maintain compliance with food safety regulations and cleanliness standards.
- Manage retail sales transactions using Clover POS, processing cash and card payments accurately.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace by implementing effective cleaning routines for equipment, counters, and dining areas.
- Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, beverages, food items, and supplies; place orders as needed.
- Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders efficiently, and resolving any concerns promptly.
- Support the team during busy periods by serving beverages quickly while maintaining quality standards.
- Uphold food safety standards through proper food handling practices and adherence to health regulations.
Experience
- Proven experience as a barista with strong knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and beverage service.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a café or retail environment preferred.
- Strong understanding of retail math, cash handling, and cashiering procedures.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle diverse guest needs professionally.
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and food industry best practices.
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Food service experience including food preparation and beverage presentation is advantageous.
