Job description:
Our client is hiring a Traveling Safety Manager for a large-scale data center construction project in Columbus, OH. This is a contract opportunity offering competitive hourly pay, overtime, and daily per diem for experienced construction safety professionals.
Candidates with experience in construction safety, industrial construction, commercial construction, mission-critical facilities, data center projects, OSHA compliance, and field safety leadership are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Manage construction site safety activities.
- Conduct daily safety inspections and audits.
- Perform new hire safety orientations.
- Lead toolbox talks and safety meetings.
- Maintain safety documentation, reports, and compliance records.
- Review Job Safety Analyses (JSAs).
- Investigate incidents and recommend corrective actions.
- Enforce OSHA standards and project safety requirements.
- Work directly with project management and subcontractor teams.
- Promote safe work practices throughout the project.
Qualifications
- OSHA 500 required.
- CHST required.
- 5+ years of construction safety experience.
- Data center construction experience preferred.
- Industrial or commercial construction experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Pay & Schedule
Pay: $50-$60 per hour
Overtime: Approximately 58 hours per week
Per Diem: $120 per day paid seven days per week
Duration: Minimum 6-month contract with extension potential
Start Date: Immediate
