TITLE: Bus Monitor
REPORTS TO : Transportation Director

Pay Rate: $15.75
Job Description: Our role is to serve as the vigilant eyes and ears for the bus driver, ensuring the safe and smooth journey of our members from the moment they are picked up until they reach their final destination. We are committed to staying alert and attentive, providing support to guarantee their safety throughout the entire ride.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Focus on the children at all times. Welcome and get to know the children in your Bus, ensuring that their safety is your prime concern. Care for and encourage children, integrating unhappy children.
- Ensure the Health and Safety of children. Be fully aware of Health and Safety policies and inform the Director of any contravention of policy. Ensure the children in your group are aware of all risks and relevant safety policies. Become aware of EEC regulations and requirements.
- Complete all documentation requirements as assigned.
- Must exhibit a positive attitude, embrace teamwork and participate and complete all required training.
- Assist with general programming. Attends all staff meetings and in-service training.
- Actively participate in monthly coaching/supervision sessions with the reporting supervisor
- May work in other departments when needed.
- JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- A high school diploma or GED
- Ability to pass a background check, including CORI check
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT: Physical demand: minimal. Mental/visual demand: Flow of work and character of duties involve normal mental and visual attention at all times.
